MILFORD, CT — Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who impersonated someone from the Milford Fire Department and defrauded a company at the Connecticut Post Mall.

The man went to Bon Jour Cafe in the mall and said he was "John" with the Milford Fire Department. He said he would service fire extinguishers and provided a fake invoice for $496, which the business paid. The suspect didn't service the fire extinguishers, and left with the money.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Nelson at 203-878-6551 or via email.
