Man Punches Woman, Takes Her Phone, Cash: Milford Police

The accused was charged this week on arrest warrants, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Norwalk man, Alex Simko, 38, of Bethel Street, is accused of "punching a female victim causing a laceration to her face before forcibly taking her cell phone and $60 cash in October of 2021," Milford police said.

Simko was charged on three arrest warrants on Nov. 22, police said. Simko also had two active arrest warrants for failing to appear in court, police said.

He is charged with third-degree assault, third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, first and second-degree failure to appear, and violation of conditions of release.

He was released on a $25,000 bond and is due in Superior Court, Milford on Dec. 15.
