Man Robbed Woman At Knifepoint At Milford Gas Station: Police

A woman attempting to buy marijuana was robbed at knifepoint recently, according to police.

MILFORD, CT — A woman was robbed at knifepoint at the Pilot Travel Center in Milford last week, according to police.

The victim went to the police station Nov. 5 reporting that she was robbed at the Pilot Travel Center at 433 Old Gate Lane while trying to purchase marijuana.

Justus Smith, 39, of Bronx, New York, is accused of robbing the woman of $260 at knifepoint, according to police.

He is also accused of driving away while the victim was still holding onto his vehicle, and the woman was injured

Smith was on probation at the time, police said.

He was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, sixth-degree larceny, and violation of probation.

He was held on $275,000 bond.
