MILFORD, CT — A man is accused of smashing car windows and flipping over a TV in an incident Friday night, according to police.

Police received a call at 9:27 p.m. reporting screaming at a Naugatuck Avenue home. Officers arrived and heard glass breaking and a man screaming inside the home.

The man exited, "visibly irate and bleeding from the right hand," according to police. He was detained and treated for his injury.

The victim said that they were in the home when the man became irate. They ran to their car and the man smashed the passenger and front windshield of the car as they tried to get away.

The man then went back into the house and the victim could hear glass shattering as they drove away.

Police found items thrown all around the home including the TV stand being flipped over. A TV was broken and broken bottles were all over the floor. A window was broken as well.

The man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, second-degree threatening, and first-degree criminal endangerment.

He was held on $75,000 bond.
