Man Stole Car, Crashed It In Milford: PD

A man is accused of stealing a car from a Milford car dealership and crashing it, according to police.

MILFORD, CT — An Orange man was charged after he stole a vehicle from Courtney Honda and then crashed it, according to police.

Anthony Macchia, 38, stole the vehicle on May 4 and crashed it in the area of Bridgeport Avenue and South Washington Street, police said. He fled the scene on foot.

Macchia was charged with third-degree larceny, interfering with police, evading responsibility, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under a suspended license and failure to grant right of way. He was release on a promise to appear.
