Man Threatened Walmart Employees With Knife: Milford PD

A man was charged after he threatened an employee with a knife and used a racial epithet, according to police.

MILFORD, CT — A city man was charged after he threatened a Walmart employee with a knife and called them a racial epithet, according to police.

Officers went to Walmart Aug. 1 to investigate a threatening complaint. Employees told police that Anthony Kane, 32, approached an employee with a knife in hand and threatened to kill the employee, police said.

Kane spit at the employee, but missed. He also threatened another employee during the incident, police said.

Kane left the store, but was located by officers a short distance away. He was in possession of a knife.

Kane was charged with second-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias, second-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree breach of peace. He was also wanted on two counts of violation of probation.
