Man Threatens Pharmacy Staff With Knife: Milford Police

The accused fled the store on foot and was tracked by a police K-9 and taken into custody, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Meriden man, Vincent Rodriguez, 31, of West Main Street is accused of threatening employees at a local pharmacy with a knife and was later found by a police K-9, Milford police said.

On May 20 police responded to 1360 Boston Post Road, Rite-Aid on the report of a threatening incident with a knife, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Rodriguez who is accused of stealing $9 worth of merchandise, police said.

"When confronted by store staff Rodriguez pulled a knife out, threatened the employees, and then left on foot," police said in a news release. "Rodriguez was located after a K9 track and was found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. It was also determined that Rodriguez had two outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court in November, 2019 and January, 2020 for prior arrests."

He was held in lieu of a $101,000 bond and is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree threatening, breach of peace, sixth-degree larceny, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of failure to appear.
