Man Told Officer He Was 'Inebriated' After Accident: Milford Police

The accused was involved in an accident and left the scene, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A New Jersey man involved in a motor vehicle accident in Milford told cops that he was "inebriated," police said. On Sept. 23, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Boston Post Road near North Street in which the offending vehicle had fled the scene, police said.

Police officers located and stopped the vehicle on North Street near Kozlowski Drive, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Dannie Weston, 61, of New Jersey, who is accused of driving his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Weston refused to provide a breath sample, but told officers on scene he was "inebriated," police said.

He is charged with DUI, failure to drive right and evading responsibility. He was given a $500 bond.
