Milford Animal Clinic Changes Adoption Policy For Families: Reports
A change to dog adoption requirements at a Milford animal clinic is getting some attention, according to reports.
MILFORD, CT — A Milford animal clinic has changed its adoption requirements and now does not allow families with children under 8 years old to adopt dogs, according to WTNH News-8.
Dr. Sasha Golovyan of the Animal Clinic of Milford said they have been considering the decision for the last six months. Golovyan told WTNH News-8 that they have "had about 10 dogs returned and eight of those dogs had one thing in common. And they were not bad dogs.”
Golovyan said this situation puts a lot of stress on the dogs because they thought they were in a safe home and then have to be rehomed. She said the clinic will be testing the policy for a few months to see how it goes, according to NBC CT.
