MILFORD, CT — Here are the arrests Milford police made recently:

  • Police took a Bridgeport man into custody April 1. He is accused of breaking into a home and taking items in January. He was charged with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary. Bond was set at $75,000.
  • Police took custody of a Waterbury woman following a traffic stop April 20. She was charged on two active arrest warrants for second-degree failure to appear in court. Bond was set at $15,000.
  • Police made a traffic stop April 20 at the Motel 6 on Schoolhouse Road. An investigation led to the arrests of an East Haven man and a Woodbridge woman for possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman also had heroin, crack cocaine, and an unknown substance in pill form. The man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Both were released on a promise to appear in court.
  • Police attempted to stop a Milford man on a dirt bike April 21. The man took off but was later taken into custody. He had 16 warrants out for his arrest for failing to appear in court in various cases. He also had crack cocaine and other drug paraphernalia on him at the time of his arrest. He was charged with 15 counts of second-degree failure to appear in court, first-degree failure to appear in court, engaging police in a pursuit, operating with a suspended license, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $360,000.
  • Police took custody of a man Tuesday who is accused of failing to properly secure a gun in his vehicle, resulting in a theft in March. The Milford man was charged with negligent storage of a firearm and released on a promise to appear in court.
  • Police took custody of a West Haven man on Tuesday who is accused of backing into a vehicle and taking off in January. He was charged with evading responsibility and unsafe backing.
  • Police took custody of a New Haven man Monday who is accused of stealing two backpacks at LA Fitness in the mall in November. The backpacks contained credit cards which the man is accused of using after the theft. The items stolen had a combined value of $2,000. He was charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, credit card theft, and illegal use of a payment card. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
  • Police took custody of a man Wednesday accused of attempting to contact a victim through a third party in violation of a full no-contact protective order. The man, who is homeless, was charged with violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $2,500.
  • Police responded to a Motel 6 on Schoolhouse Road on Wednesday on a report of a domestic violence incident. Police arrested a Milford woman accused of pushing two family members and punching one in the head. She was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
