MILFORD, CT — Milford police made the following arrests, according to a police press release from Dec. 31 to Jan. 4:

  • Police were dispatched Dec. 31 to a Banner Drive address for an unwanted person. A business owner said he wanted the person to leave. The New Haven man left and was detained by officers a short distance away. He gave a fake name during the investigation and was in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia. He also had two outstanding warrants for violation of probation. He was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of violation of probation. His bond was set at $50,500.
  • A West Haven man was taken into custody Tuesday on an arrest warrant for domestic violence. He also had four active arrest warrants for failure to appear in court. He was charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree failure to appear, and three counts of second-degree failure to appear. His bond was set at $37,500.
  • A Bridgeport man turned himself in on a domestic violence arrest warrant Tuesday. He was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. His bond was set at $50,500.
  • A West Haven man turned himself in on a domestic violence warrant Tuesday. He was charged with second-degree threatening and released on a promise to appear in court.
  • Police saw a motor vehicle at a gas station at 1342 Boston Post Road on Wednesday. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Bridgeport. A Milford man was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under suspension. An Ansonia resident was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle. Both were released on a promise to appear in court.
  • A Bergenfield, NJ resident was charged with disorderly conduct in connection to a domestic violence incident. Bond was set at $1,000.
  • A New Haven woman was charged with evading responsibility and following to close in a motor vehicle incident. Bond was set at $500.
  • A Northford man was charged in a domestic violence incident with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree harassment, first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree assault, and breach of peace. Bond was set at $6,000.
  • A Milford man turned himself in on a domestic violence warrant Thursday. He was charged with second-degree strangulation, disorderly conduct, and second-degree assault. Bond was set at $100,000.
