Milford Board Takes Action On Major Housing Project

The Planning and Zoning Board recently made a decision on a developer's pitch to add townhomes in Milford.

MILFORD, CT — The Planning and Zoning Board recently approved plans to construct 44 townhouses in Milford.

The board approved the plans at its June 17 meeting, according to draft minutes of the meeting.

The project calls for 44 units to be constructed at 843 North St. on a two-acre site by North Street LLC, which is Buddy and Chris Fields. The site currently has a three-bedroom home and is nearby to Eisenhower Park.

The project will include 14 units that are designated as affordable housing. Each townhouse will have two bedrooms and two parking spots.

A project representative said that it will not pose any safety hazards or have major traffic impacts.

The Planning and Zoning Board passed the project in a 5 to 3 vote. It passed with the conditions that concrete curbs along the street frontage on Kozlowski Road be added, a fire hydrant be relocated, and more information on snow-related maintenance be provided.
