Milford Builder Defrauded Customers Out Of Over $200K: Police
A builder is facing larceny charges on allegations that he took deposits from customers, then never completed the projects.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford builder is accused of defrauding customers out of more than $200,000, according to police.
Police began a fraud investigation in December. A victim reported to police that they made a deposit of $68,000 to Leonard Addario of Reputation Builders for the construction of a new house.
In October, after the construction was still not complete, the victim terminated the contract. The victim contacted police after the builder did not return the deposit, according to police.

Addario, 46, had also taken deposits for two other construction projects totaling about $204,000, police said.
Addario turned himself in on a warrant for his arrest Monday.

He was charged with three counts of first-degree larceny and held on $150,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on April 2.
