Milford Business Holds Grand Opening

The company will add 100 new jobs in Milford.

State Rep. Charles Ferraro (R-West Haven, Milford & Orange) celebrated the grand opening of Solar City in Milford by presenting the company with an official state citation last week.

The 16,000-square-foot center is the company’s second in Connecticut and will bring with it 100 new jobs to Milford.

Ferraro, a small business owner himself said, “As America’s largest solar power provider, who makes clean energy available to homeowners, businesses, schools, non-profits and government organizations. You are a leader in residential solar marketplace in providing renewable, affordable electricity. Congratulations on this momentous day!”

Solar City installs solar panels on a qualifying home at no cost to the customer, who then buys half of monthly energy needs through the solar panels. The other half is from a traditional utility.
