Milford Considers Splash Pads at Eisenhower Park

The city has applied for a state grant to help pay for the project and other upgrades at the park.

MILFORD, CT - Some cool items may be on the horizon at Eisenhower Park.

According to the March Board of Parks, Beach and Recreation Commission, the agency's Director Paul Piscitelli was asked if the city had splash pads.

"Piscitelli advised that we do not; however, the City has applied for a STEAP Grant (Small Town Economic Assistance Program) for $500K to put in a splash pad, dog park and reconfigure of the entrance way to Eisenhower Park," the meeting minutes state.

A splash pad is often very popular for kids, and are often placed at parks. There is very little standing water and often a way for kids to beat the heat during the summer months.
