Milford Coronavirus Updates: 11 Cases, Drive-Thru Testing Begins
A drive-thru testing site has opened in Milford, officials said Friday.

MILFORD, CT — There are now 11 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Milford, city officials said Friday. "The Health Department is working with the CT Department of Public Health to identify, notify, and monitor potential contacts that may have been exposed," officials said.
The state health department had reported 15 cases in Milford on Friday but revised its official numbers down to 11, which matches what local health officials shared Friday.
Additionally, Bridgeport Hospital—Milford Campus opened its drive-thru testing site at 831 Boston Post Road. Persons experiencing symptoms must first contact a health care provider for a script ordering COVID-19 testing before visiting the testing center.

As a reminder, Milford playgrounds, as well as basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts have been closed in order to prevent close-space interaction amongst users. Residents, while practicing social distancing, are instead encouraged to take advantage of Milford’s open space, parks and walking trails.
Milford officials said "Everyone must take precautions to remain healthy and limit the community spread of this virus. Avoid leaving home if sick, be diligent about washing hands and covering up coughs and sneezes, clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in household common areas and avoid places where groups of five or more persons may gather. - Call a medical provider before going to their office or call the Yale New Haven Health System COVID-19 Call Center at 203-688-1700.
- Stay home except to get necessary medical care. Do not go to public areas. Avoid using public transportation.
- Monitor symptoms. If condition is worsening (i.e. difficulty breathing), seek emergency medical attention. Notify the healthcare provider BEFORE arriving or being evaluated for COVID-19."
