Milford Coronavirus Updates: 402 Confirmed Cases
State health officials released the latest numbers and information concerning Milford and the coronavirus.

MILFORD, CT — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Milford has now reached 402, according to the state Department of Public Health. Nearly, 22,500 cases have been reported so far across all of Connecticut.
Milford officials have previously reported seven deaths involving local residents and the virus. Across Connecticut, 1,544 deaths have been reported.

Throughout the next several days, the parking lots at Eisenhower/Foote and Walnut Beach will have reduced access to allow for repaving. With the decrease in scheduled activities at these locations, the City is utilizing this opportunity to enhance and upgrade our recreation infrastructure.
The Eisenhower/Foote parking lots will be temporally closed effective tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24.

The Walnut Beach parking lots will be temporally closed effective Thursday, April 23 through Friday, April 24.

Mayor Blake has announced that the City of Milford will allow a 90-day, interest free, deferment of taxes for individuals and businesses that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The tax deferral program will apply to real estate, motor vehicle, and sewer charges or assessments and allows for a 90-day deferral without interest or penalty.
Residents who wish to apply for this program can visit the Milford Tax Collector’s website or call 203-783-3217 for an application.
"Residents should also be aware that the CVS rapid COVID-19 testing center is now open at 60 Sargent Drive in New Haven, and is providing test results in approximately 30 minutes. Anyone interested in being tested must register online (visit www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing) and make an appointment prior to arriving, however, unlike other testing facilities, patients do not need doctor's referral."
