MILFORD, CT — Milford was hit hard by Monday's thunderstorms and heavy rain storm and a local business incurred significant damage. The owner of Amici's Cafe took to social media to inform patrons that their awning was ripped down in the storm.

"Good evening all! Just wanted to give a quick update, this afternoon the overhang portion of the roof over the cafe collapsed. Thank God no one was outside so there were no injuries. We are operating per our normal hours. Hopefully, the patio garden will be up and running quickly."
