Milford Father Can't Be Reunited With Wife and Kids After Trump's Immigration Order: Report

The man's wife and two young children were about to board a plane Saturday but were sent back to Jordan.

MILFORD, CT — Fadi Kassar, who lives in Milford, had his heart broken Saturday when his wife and children, who are originally from Syria, were turned away from flying to see him, NBC Connecticut reports.

"Every father wants to see his kids,” Kassar told NBC Connecticut. His wife and two daughters, age 5 and 8, were at an airport in the Ukraine and not allowed to board due to President Trump's executive order on immigration.

Kassar’s wife and daughters, ages 5 and 8, had been stranded at an airport in Kiev, Ukraine. They are back in Jordan but their possessions have not been returned.

Kassar said his family loves the United States and he hopes Trump will change his mind on immigration. He said he won't give up on trying to be reunited with his family.
