Milford Firefighter Facing Termination Hearing: Report

MILFORD, CT — Milford firefighter Raul (Rico) Benavides-Espinal is facing possible termination due to excessive absences, the Milford Mirror reports.

A decision is likely in July. Benavides-Espinal may be claiming the absences are due to post-traumatic stress disorder. Because it's a personnel matter, city officials can't comment on the case but they did tell the mILFORD Mirror that the firefighter has been out for a lengthy period of time.

Benavides-Espinal recently filed a worker's compensation claim against the city.
