Milford High School Seeks Host Families for International Students

From Milford High School:

Milford High School has recently partnered with gphomestay to bring international students to our school for the 2016-2017 school year! We are looking for local families that are interested in the rewarding experience of hosting!

The ideal host family will have a child or children attending Milford High for the 2016-2017 school year, will primarily speak English at home and has time in their schedule to interact and share their American and family culture with the student. Families of all types, ethnicities, backgrounds and sizes are welcome.

The host family will need to provide:

• Three meals a day
• A private furnished room, and
• A safe, nurturing environment

A generous stipend of $1000.00 for the academic will be provided to offset the costs of hosting. The stipend is distributed on a monthly basis over the 10 academic months.

Gphomestay provides ongoing support during a student’s stay including 24/7 access to a local Student Services Coordinator, respite care for family vacations and emergency situations, umbrella insurance for host families, medical insurance for all students, quarterly residential check-ins by the local staff in the community.
