"My husband Alan Lynn passed away suddenly from a rare bug bite on October 17th after a long weekend celebrating our 24th engagement anniversary in Killington, VT. Mine and my children's lives have been pulled out from under us.

He was our rock, our financial provider, our everything. He was a devoted a husband and father. He made us laugh, took us on adventures, and provided for us. Al was so proud of our two children and their accomplishments.

Especially, the fact that they both recently entered college. He was such a hard working guy since his early days working at Pine Crest as general manager and chef at Saddle Restaurant. His change of career brought him to Milford Hospital for 22 years.

He was so proud of the many positions he held there and he was always part of the community, including his famous Christmas parties with United Way and his emergency management skills. He always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. The scary thing is to know what is in store for our family knowing that our rock is gone. It is traumatic and devastating."

Already, $2,015 has been raised by 27 donors in six days.
