Milford Makes Big Change On Sale Of Tobacco Products: Report
The Board of Aldermen adopted a new ordinance this week.

MILFORD, CT — If you want to purchase cigarettes, vaping products and all forms of tobacco in Milford you're going to need to be 21 years old. The Board of Aldermen led by Ray Vitali approved an ordinance that raises the age from 18 to 21 years old, the Milford Mirror reports.
Vitali's proposal was supported by several community groups including students and prominent educators. School officials said vaping is prevalent not only at the high schools but also at the middle school level. Offending retailers would be fined.
The only other New Haven County community with a similar ordinance is Wallingford. Trumbull and Bridgeport have enacted similar ordinances.
