Milford Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

A 57-year-old Milford man is under arrest after the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into the sharing of child pornography over the Internet.

Paolo Sassano, of 903 Wheelers Farm Rd., was charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance and illegal possession of child pornography.

The investigation, which began in October, traced the Internet activity to a residence located in Milford.

On Dec. 14, 2014, the Computer Crimes Unit and the Milford Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at 903 Wheelers Farm Rd.

During the execution of the search warrant, Sassano was developed as a suspect. Several items of evidentiary value were seized from the residence. Troopers conducted a preview of the seized items and located files of suspected child pornography.

On May 18, 2015, Sassano turned himself in at Troop I in Bethany on an active arrest warrant.

He was held on a court set $150,000 bond and transported to Milford Superior Court for a same day arraignment.
