Milford Man Charged With DUI After Accident: Police

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man, Johnathan Whittaker, 67, of Milford Point Road is accused of driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol at the time of an accident, police said.

On Jan. 9, police responded to the intersection of Meadows End and Meadowside roads on a report of an accident, police said.

Police saw two vehicles involved in the accident and investigation led to Whittaker's arrest, police said. Whittaker provided two breath samples which indicated he had an elevated blood alcohol content, police said. Police said Whittaker was also cited for failure to obey a stop sign.

He is charged with DUI.
