Milford Man Crashes Car Into Tree, Walks Away, Doesn't Report Accident: Police

Police say the man didn't report the accident and made no attempt to contact the property owner.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man, 21, is accused of driving his car into a tree, leaving the scene and never reporting the accident, police said.

Police said on Jan. 14, officers learned of a one car motor vehicle accident in which the vehicle was unoccupied and left crashed into a tree in the area of Seaside and Trumbull avenues.

Officers began searching the area for the driver and shortly thereafter were contacted by Christopher Nunno, 21, of Elm Street in Milford, who said he had been in the accident several hours earlier, walked away from the scene and made no attempt to contact the property owner, police said.

Nunno is charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive right. He was given a $500 bond and is due in Superior Court, Milford on Feb. 9.
