Milford Man Drove Drunk, Hit Pedestrian And Then Business: PD
The accused is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man is facing a number of charges after he allegedly drove drunk and hit a pedestrian and then ended up crashing his vehicle into a liquor store, police said On Feb. 3 around 6 p.m. police responded to the Dollar General/Crushed Grape parking lot, 254 Melba Street, on a report of multiple motor vehicle accidents, police said.
Investigation led to the arrest of Kenneth Longfield, 58, of Catherine Court, who is accused of hitting a pedestrian with his vehicle, then a parked car and then the Dollar General Building with his vehicle, police said.
Longfield is accused of driving his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, police said. He provided a breath sample, which showed him to have an elevated blood alcohol level at the time of his arrest, police said.

He is charged with DUI, reckless driving, evading responsibility, assault with a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, and possession of marijuana. He was ordered held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
