Milford Man Faces Competency Test in Alleged Bomb Case: Report
Milford police made an arrest in October in the case.

A Superior Court Judge this week ordered a psychiatric exam for Jason Bayard, 39, of 67 Victory Drive, who is accused of possessing pipe bomb materials in his home, the New Haven Register reports.
A family member of Bayard’s called the Milford Police Department after they found items located within the basement area of 67 Victory Drive in Milford that were believed to be homemade pipe bombs, police said in October at the time of the arrest.
At the time the State Police Bomb Unit was contacted for assistance and they responded and carefully removed the explosive devices from the residence and transported the items to a safe blast site where they were detonated, police have said.
