Milford Man Held on $1.15M Bond; Charged in Vicious Assault Case

Police say the man restrained a companion by the neck and threw her into a bathroom fixture.

Christopher Millhouse, 37, of New Haven Avenue, is being held on a $1.15 million bond for allegedly violating a protective order after he is accused of throwing a companion into a bathroom fixture, and restraining her by the neck, police said Monday.

Millhouse is also accused by police of being arrested for three separate incidents in Milford including most recently for failing to appear in court.

Police said they took custody of Millhouse this weekend regarding warrants for his arrest.

First, on December 19, police received a complaint regarding an unwanted person outside a residence at 53 West Orland Street, police said.

Investigation revealed that Millhouse was in violation of a court issued protective order prohibiting him from being at the residence and having contact with a companion residing there, resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest, police said.

The second warrant involved a complaint that Millhouse allegedly assaulted another companion on Dec. 24, 2014, police said.

Investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Millhouse, who is accused of restraining a companion by the neck, forcefully throwing her into a bathroom fixture and damaging her cellphone, police said.

The third warrant accuses Millhouse of failing to appear in court on Jan. 9 for charges of burglary, home invasion, unlawful restraint and interfering with an emergency call, police said.

He was charged by police with violation of a protective order, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, third-degree strangulation, second-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree failure to appear.
