Milford Man Menaced Neighborhood, Charged For Several Events: PD

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man was criminally charged after causing several disturbances in the city, according to police.

Officers went to a Home Acres Avenue residence on March 8 to investigate a breach of peace complaint. John Katrick, 51, of Milford was doing burnouts in his vehicle, which created a large cloud of smoke, police said. He was charged with reckless driving, second-degree breach of peace and unsafe movement.

Police arrested Katrick on a number of active arrest warrants.

He was accused of driving erratically in his own front yard during another incident, police said. Katrick's vehicle tore up his own yard and sprayed a neighbor's fence and car with grass debris. The neighbor had to hire a special cleaning service. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace for the incident.

Katrick was also accused of striking a utility pole while backing into a driveway in February, police said. He left the scene and didn't report the crash to police. He was charged with evading responsibility and unsafe backing.

Katrick also caused a disturbance at the United States Postal Service office on Pepes Farm Road earlier in March, according to police. He was charged with second-degree breach of peace for the incident.

Bail was set at a total of $8,000 for all the arrests.
