Milford Man Stole $12K Gold Necklace: Trumbull Police

He asked to see the necklace and a salesperson took it out of a display case and the accused grabbed the necklace and ran off, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Milford man was arrested after he stole a 24-karat gold necklace from Kay's Jewelers Sept. 28, 2019, according to police.

Brandon McLaughlin, 26, asked to see the necklace valued at $11,999 and a salesperson took it out of a display case. McLaughlin grabbed the necklace and ran off, police said.

Detectives took fingerprints from the display case and matched them to McLaughlin, according to police. He was taken into custody by New Haven Police and was turned over to Trumbull Police. He is charged with second-degree larceny. To sign up for Milford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
