Milford Man Wrote $11k Worth Of Bad Checks: DCJ
A Milford man wrote more than $11,000 worth of bad checks to a bail bonds company, according to the state Department of Criminal Justice.
MILFORD, CT — A Milford man was charged with fraudulently issuing more than $11,400 worth of checks to a bail bonds company, according to the state Division of Criminal Justice.
Jason Turoczi, 40, wrote 19 checks totaling more than $11,400 to a Bridgeport bail bonds company through a mobile banking app bill pay service, according to the DCJ. The checks were sent to the company, but the total amount "grossly exceeded" Turoczi's bank account balance.
He was charged with criminal attempt to commit second-degree larceny.

Turoczi is in state custody and has 21 pending cases in nine different judicial districts.
