Milford Mayor Ben Blake Decides His Political Future

MILFORD, CT — Democratic Mayor Benjamin G. Blake is seeking a fourth-term of office he announced recently. His campaign held a kick-off fundraiser earlier this month.

Blake, 39, said he believes he deserves reelection because for the second straight year taxes are actually decreasing and not increasing, according to reports including the Connecticut Post.

Some accomplishments he cited include: purchasing automated "Toter" garbage collection, new ways patients are transported via ambulance which also generated $1 million in revenue for taxpayers, new ballfields, and securing more parking downtown, the Post reports.

No news yet on which local Republican may challenge Blake.
