Milford PD Investigates Robbery, Assaults, Burglary

Police had a busy few days in Milford investigating a robbery, burglary, assaults and more.

MILFORD, CT —Milford police had a busy few days as they investigated a robbery, stolen vehicles, arson and several other incidents, including a man in his underwear swinging a golf club at motorists

Below is a summary of incidents from police:

Assault- 305 New Haven Ave, fight between juveniles. Neither party involved wanted to pursue an arrest.

Attempted Burglary- 231 Cherry St., Patrol Officers found business with a broken front glass door. Incident still under investigation.

Larceny- 1201 Boston Post Rd, wallet left behind at store and credit cards later used fraudulently at other locations.

Arson- 264 High St., Patrol Officers responded to a vehicle fire. Later determined to be an arson, one arrest made.

Warrant Service- Arrest made in Naugatuck Ave home invasion in January.

Missing Person- Male with autism reported as missing. Located by officers.

Evading- Daniel St., Vehicle struck on Daniel St. The operator of the offending vehicle, got out of the vehicle, punched the second operator in the face, and fled the scene. Incident still under investigation.

Breach of Peace- Walnut Beach, physical altercation between two friends, one arrest made.

Monday 5/23

Robbery- 5:23 AM 100 Broad St, male threatened an ATM patron with a needle and stole cash, one arrest made.

Assist other Agency- 10:00 AM Called to assist with large crowd at Milford Courthouse for hearing of juvenile for Shelton Police case.

Stolen Vehicles- 2:42 PM 35 Higgins Dr, business reported 8 vehicles missing from the business.

Larceny- 5:03 PM 545 Bridgeport Ave, Male and female suspects stole a grill from Ocean State Job Lot. Incident still under investigation.

Suspicious Activity- 10:07 PM Old Point Road, Male wearing only underwear swinging a golf club towards a motorist that tried to help the male. Male appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and transported for evaluation.
