Milford Police Arrest Log: August 2020

Milford Police Arrest Log:

Eduardo Ruis, 66, of Ella Grasso Blvd, New Haven is charged with operating under the influence, evading responsibility, failure to drive right and no insurance. Police said in a news release that "On August 19, 2020, Milford Police responded to the intersection of New Haven Ave and Merwin Ave on the report of a motor vehicle accident where the offending vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle was located a short time later and an investigation led to the arrest of Ruis is accused of driving his vehicle under the influence, causing an accident, and then leaving the scene. Ruis was also unable to provide valid insurance for his vehicle."


Antonio Gonzalez, 22, of Naugatuck Avenue, Milford is charged with disorderly conduct. In a news release police said, "On August 19, 2020, Milford Police responded to the parking lot behind the Milford Library for a possible domestic violence incident. Investigation led to the arrest of Gonzalez who is accused of taking a female’s keys and throwing them and then grabbing the female’s face."

Andrew Richards, 19, of Avalon Drive, Milford is charged with sixth-degree larceny. In a news release police said, "On August 20, 2020, Milford Police responded 1365 Boston Post Road, Walmart, on the report of an employee theft. Investigation led to the arrest of Richards who is accused of putting money from transactions to the side and then putting that money in his pockets. The total theft was $45."


Eden Weiss, 48, of Oak Street, Lyme is charged with first-degree criminal trespass. In a news release police said, "On August 20, 2020, Milford Police took custody of Weiss in regards to an active warrant for his arrest. Weiss is accused of going to the rear of a residence of a female acquaintance and looking into windows. Weiss continued to go to the residence after he was warned by the female and police not to go to the residence, in June 2020."

Angel Torres, 38, of Second Avenue, West Haven is charged with sixth-degree larceny. In a news release police said, "On August 21, 2020, Milford Police responded to 1201 Boston Post Road, Boscov’s, on the report of a shoplifting. Investigation is accused of stealing $278 worth of merchandise."
