Man Charged With Strangulation In Milford Domestic Assault: Police
Milford police made several arrests recently, including a man charged in a domestic assault.

MILFORD, CT — A Stratford resident is facing numerous charges in a domestic violence incident involving strangulation, according to police
Police were dispatched to a home on Broadway on a report of a domestic violence incident on Wednesday.
The Stratford man "restrained [the victim] physically from moving and placed his knee on their abdomen," police said. The man is accused of then punching and slapping the victim in the body and face.

The man then pulled the victim off the bed, continued to hit them, grabbed their neck, and strangled them, according to police.
A juvenile briefly observed the assault.

The Stratford man also had a gun that was not properly stored, police said.
The victim was hospitalized for treatment.
The man was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, second-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree strangulation, and negligent storage of a firearm. Bond was set at $20,000.
Police also made the following arrests recently:
- A Bridgeport man was taken into custody by Mohegan Tribal police and turned over to Milford police on an arrest warrant. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in court.
- A police officer spotted a motorcyclist doing wheelies at the mall on Wednesday. The rider saw the officer and drove away. The officer attempted to stop the motorcyclist, who did not stop. Officers ran the motorcycle registration, which came back to a West Haven address. Police responded to the West Haven address and identified the rider. He was charged with reckless driving and engaging police in a pursuit. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
