MILFORD, CT — Milford police made the following arrests recently, according to a press release from the department:

  • Police responded to a shoplifting incident at Boscov's at the mall Thursday. A loss prevention officer told police that the person accused took items from the store and left without paying for them. The items were valued at $301.47. The New Haven woman was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was then turned over on an active arrest warrant to New Have police.
  • Police responded to a report of a disturbance at 90 New Haven Ave. on Thursday. A man was charged with second-degree breach of peace.
  • A West Haven man was charged with fifth-degree larceny on Friday in connection with a shoplifting incident in March.
  • Police responded to Eisenhower Park on Friday and found an unoccupied car in the woods that was stuck in the riverbed. Police found that the vehicle had been offroading before getting stuck. Public Works estimated the property incurred $10,000 in damages. A West Haven man was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, no insurance, misuse of a marker plate, and unregistered motor vehicle. Bond was set at $1,000.
  • A West Haven man was charged Friday with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct in connection with a domestic violence incident. Bond was set at $1,000.
  • A Norwalk man was charged Friday with criminal violation of a protection order. Bond was set at $2,500.
  • Police responded to a report of a suspicious person who was looking into cars in the area of Mercury Drive and Elgin Drive. Police took a Milford man into custody who had two active arrest warrants for violation of probation. Police said the man was also in possession of various drugs. He was taken into custody and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of violation of probation. Bond was set at $5,000.
  • Police responded to Lowe's for a shoplifting incident Saturday. A loss prevention officer said a Norwalk man had exited the store without paying for merchandise worth $947.22. He was taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree larceny.
