Milford Police: Home Health Aide Stole $33K From Elderly Milford Man
Police said the theft occurred over a six-month time frame.

Milford police say a home health aide entrusted to provide care for an elderly Milford resident stands accused of betraying that trust and allegedly stealing more than $33,000 from the man.
Police said in December they received a complaint regarding several checks that were taken from the elderly Milford man.
Investigation revealed that Sherry Farley, 43, of Maple Avenue in North Haven, was hired by the victim as a private home health aide at the victim’s residence, police said.

During a six-month time period, Farley allegedly stole approximately 23 personal checks from the man and cashed them at area banks totaling more than $33,000.
She was charged with first-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. She was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on March 3.
