Milford Police Report Uptick In Property Crimes

MILFORD, CT — Milford police are issuing advice to residents on how to protect themselves amid an increase in property crimes.

Milford police posted the following on Facebook:

"We have been seeing an uptick in various property crimes including stolen vehicles, car break ins, and purse snatching across the state.

"Here are some important reminders and tips so you don’t become a victim!"

Police included an image with the post that had the following advice:

• Keep purses on you. Utilize crossbody bags
• Do not leave cars running
• Do not leave valuables in plain view
• Lock your cars always
