Milford Preschool Sued After Toddler Injured: Lawsuit

The lawsuit alleges a daycare worker, who has been arrested, injured a toddler's arm by dragging him.

MILFORD, CT — A woman is suing a Milford preschool and former employee after her son’s arm was pulled from its socket during a June 2018 incident, according to a lawsuit.

The mother, identified under the pseudonym Sara Doe alleges that Tammy Gosney dragged her 3-year-old son by his arms several feet across the floor and then tried to manipulate his arm back into the socket.

The lawsuit alleges that the toddler suffered from, “extreme trauma, mental anguish and psychological injuries, which are permanent in nature.”

Doe is suing for monetary damages.

Gosney, 60, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor. She was fired from the preschool. Her criminal case is sealed, according to court records.

Good Child Development Center Inc. and Gosney filed a motion to dismiss arguing that the complaint wasn’t served on time. A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28.
