The first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2015-16 school year in the Milford Public School System.

First day of school: August 27

Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 7

Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 14

Yom Kippur (school closed): Sept. 23

Parent Conferences (early dismissal all levels):October 7, 8, 9

October 21 (early dismissal)

November 25 (early dismissal)

Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 26-27

December 9 (early dismissal)

Winter break early dismissal: Dec. 23

Winter break: Dec. 24-Jan. 3 (school resumes Jan. 4)

Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 18

Presidents Day/ Winter Break (school closed): Feb. 12, Feb. 15

March 2 (early dismissal for students)

March 16, 17, 18 (early dismissal): parent conferences

Good Friday (school closed) March 25

April 6 (early dismissal)

Spring Break: April 18-22

May 25 (early dismissal)

Memorial Day (school closed): May 30

June 3 and June 6 (early dismissal)

Last day of school: June 7

Note: Days can be added for weather up until June 20 before days are removed from the April spring break.
