Milford Rape Suspect Sent Apology To Victim, Cops Say: Report

Milford police said the suspect apologized via text message.

MILFORD, CT — A 25-year-old Trumbull man, who Milford police charged with first-degree sexual assault, reportedly apologized to the victim via text message, the Trumbull Times wrote.

In addition to the rape charge, Daniel Marazita also was charged with third-degree assault in connection with the alleged incident with a Milford victim.

The incident occurred in June of last year, and in the arrest warrant, detectives said they obtained the victim's cell phone which contained the text exchange.

Marazita has pleaded not guilty, though in the texts he reportedly wrote that he did not remember it.
