Milford Resident Seriously Injured By Suspected Thief: PD

MILFORD, CT — A person was injured by a suspected catalytic converter thief on Concord Avenue early Tuesday morning, according to police.

A resident called police around 2 a.m. to report what sounded like a fight in the street. Officers arrived and found a victim with a severe cut to his face.

The victim told police he heard a grinding noise outside his residence and decided to investigate. A few moments later, he was attacked from behind with some sort of blade, police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital for the severe, but non-life threatening, injury.

Detectives believe the suspect left the area in a silver sedan.

Police remind residents to not confront criminal suspects and to call 911 and relay as much information as possible while staying in a safe and concealed space.
