Milford Residents, Contractor at Odds over Shelland Street Site: Report

Mallico Construction has begun maintaining a storage and operations facility on Shelland Street.

MILFORD, CT — Noise and dust from the Mallico Construction facility on Shelland Street in Milford has upset area residents, and they are calling on the city's Planning and Zoning Commission for some relief, reports the Milford Mirror.

Mallico has begun maintaining a storage and operations facility on Shelland Street, and is now seeking a special permit for such use. Another construction company, Prindle Hill Construction LLC of Orange, also maintains a facility nearby, which reportedly may be contributing to the noise and dust issue.

Resident want a berm, trees and fencing at the site to mitigate the nuisance. Commissioners recommend they meet with Mallico representatives to address their concerns.
