Milford Restaurant Approved To Serve Alcohol

The new eatery has taken the place of a Dunkin' Donuts in Milford.

MILFORD, CT — The Zoning Board of Appeals approved the request of a new restaurant in Milford, "I Love Pho," to serve alcohol. The owner of the restaurant is Morningstar of Trumbull.

The ZBA had to vote on the request to allow a cafe liquor permit because it's within 1,500 feet of another permit location, which is Pit Stop Cafe.

"I Love Pho," is operating out of the former Dunkin' Donuts site located at 367 Bridgeport Ave. The owners also operate an eatery in Trumbull.

Their attorney, Thomas Lynch, said their Milford restaurant is at the former location of a Dunkin’ Donuts, where they performed interior renovations. He said customers have been asking for alcoholic drinks with their meals. He stated that the only affected party would be the Pit Stop Café across the street, which is a bar, unlike his client’s restaurant.

He said his clients would like to have a café permit to serve beer, wine, and liquor with no separate bar area. He said the variance is required based on the nature of this permit location.
