Milford School Mask Decision Rests With Superintendent
Milford parents and students decried any future mask mandate at a Board of Education meeting.
MILFORD, CT — Milford school officials will await further guidance from state officials before deciding on any future mask decisions.
Milford school’s mask policies will be set by the superintendent so long as there is no requirement that local boards of education make a decision, said Board of Education Chair Susan Glennon at a Monday meeting. The superintendent’s decision will be made in consultation with the city director of public health and the school system’s medical advisor.
Local superintendents are expected to receive more guidance on mask policies from state officials sometime this week, though some school systems have already announced plans to end mandatory masking effective March 1.
