Milford Schools Review Books After Parent Complaints: Report
School officials are reviewing a graphic novel series after some parents said the books are inappropriate for middle school students.
MILFORD, CT — Milford Public Schools are considering whether to remove Alice Oseman's "Heartstopper" graphic novel series from a middle school library, Hearst Connecticut reported. The review comes after a group of parents said they felt the books were inappropriate for that age group.
The group of parents said they are not asking for the book to be banned.
The "Heartstopper" series is about two British schoolboys who meet and fall in love. One of the parents said the books contain material about subjects middle school students haven't learned about yet.
