Milford Site Of Former Landmark Restaurant Could Get New Eatery

The site of a restaurant that was ravaged by a fire in 2018 could be in line for a new restaurant, according to a report.

MILFORD, CT — The former Scribner's restaurant, which closed in 2018 following a fire and never reopened, might have a successor, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

A West Haven developer is seeking to launch a restaurant in one of three residential buildings at the 31 Village Road site. Sonny Anand, of Anand Realty of West Haven, said he hopes to have a similar restaurant move in.

Scribner's was a Woodmont landmark for 45 years. A major fire on Halloween in 2018 caused substantial damage to the restaurant. More than 25 employees lost their jobs overnight.
