Milford Students Awarded Scholarships from BIC

Shelton, Conn. – August 27, 2013 – Seven Milford residents are recipients of BIC scholarships. The scholarships are awarded annually to children of BIC employees and are based on the students’ scholastic achievements and community service. This year, BIC awarded a total of $115,000 in scholarships to 62 winners, including these seven Milford residents:           

Emily Bonzagni, who is studying Pre-Law at Syracuse University, received a $4,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of Holly Bonzagni.

Rachel Botelho, who is studying Pre-Law/Law at the University of New Haven, received a $3,000 scholarship.  She is the daughter of Tammie Botelho.

Alyssa Davanzo, who is studying Communications and Journalism at the University of Connecticut, received a $2,000 scholarship.  She is the daughter of Donna Davanzo.

Christopher Jiambalvo, who is studying Psychology at Lafayette College, received a $4,000 scholarship. He is the son of Anna Rubino.

Amanda Keator, who is studying English at Central Connecticut State University, received a $1,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of Christian Keator.

Patrick Keefe, who is studying English at the College of the Holy Cross, received a $4,000 scholarship. He is the son of James Keefe.

Jennifer Yee, who is studying Pre-Law/Law at Pace University, received a $4,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of Rosemarie Laterza.
