Milford Woman Accused Of Assaulting Elderly Person: Police

MILFORD, CT — A Milford woman, Samita Malik, 39, of Juniper Drive is accused of assaulting an elderly person, police said.

On Sunday, police were called to a Juniper Drive residence on the report of a possible domestic violence incident, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Malik who is accused of taking the phone from an elderly woman and throwing it on the ground, breaking the screen, police said.

Malik is also accused of getting on top of the elderly woman who was in bed, grabbing her by the neck and striking her in the face with a closed fist, police said.

Malik is charged with disorderly conduct, assault of an elderly person, third-degree strangulation, and third-degree criminal mischief.
